I had made the dish once before and found the anchovy vinaigrette to be a bit blah so this time around I used an assertive Caesar dressing and also gave the stems a liberal sprinkling of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. I think that production has hit.
It has been over a year and a half since my last post. This site has been sitting on a bookshelf, so to speak, collecting dust. Sitting there while I created lesson plans, graded papers, met with parents, and managed a classroom of 25 fourth graders. Sitting there while my garden withered.
Hillery eventually learned not to say everything that came to mind. Some were too good not to write down. Absolutely, Totally, and in All Other Ways, Inconceivable! I was a preteen in the illustrious 1980s, and as much as I loved Family Ties and Remington Steele, I watched a lot of movies.

A tiny garden filled with fragrance. I love a mixture of textures in a landscape. This tiny garden is jam-packed with variety in both shape and texture. In fact, I would have never guessed that this much variety in a tiny garden would work so well, but it is stunning! I also love the splash of color around the mailbox. We lined the trench with galvanized 34 hex gopher wire. Along the bottom of the bed we laid branches and trunks of shrubbery weve cleared out in the yard, creating a sunken hugelkultur.
